Today we rode to a strange place. Huge granite rocks seemed to have landed on the ground. A strange effect of natural erosion. Over the summer many tourists try to climb on top of thoses rocks. It is a weird place lost in the heart of the department of Creuse.
‘La Creuse’ is one of the least populated region in France. This is good news for me as traffic level is almost null, and the roads are pretty good. So an excellent day ride.
We also visited the ‘Mouthier d’Ahun’ nearby. The place is famous for some amazing wood work, who miraculously survived the French revolution period. The last church standing is a small building compare to the original religious complex which one stood on the site. Pictures were not allowed so below is a picture found on the net.
