Mont St Michel take 2

  • by

Last month we failed to visit Mount St Michael. The mount is the second most visited monument in France after the Eiffel tower. August was such a going show that after 150m inside the walls we turned around with the promise to come back later in the fall.

Well it was an excellent move as today we were treated by an amazing weather.
And to top it up, unbeknown to us it is the week-end of the French heritage. Which means that all monuments and many private but classified buildings are open to the public for free. This include the abbey on Mount St Michael. So really no complaints here.

If you want to know more about the incredible project of getting the water back to the mount click here for all the data.
