A day in ‘Le Lot’

  • by

Le Lot is another region not too far south. I was fortunate to discover many of its treasures thanks to a few classmates during my students years outside of my Hometown.

The roads around here have a very good reputation with touring bikers. I visited in a few hours the village of La Roque Gageac. Bordering the Dordogne river it is nested at the foot of some pretty impressive cliffs. It is along with Rocamadour classified as one of the most beautiful village in France.

In 1957 the cliff came down upon the village killing 3 peoples and destroying many houses. The road was cut over 2 years. One special place for sure.
