Yakima (WA) – Vancouver (BC) – 692Km
I am home. Holly crap, three days ago I was in southern Colorado. This is awesome. This morning I decided not to head home right away by freeway only. I mean this would be a bit lame. Plus I hate to go back home in the middle of the day. It leaves me a taste of unfinished job.
So instead I took off North and checked out Leavenworth so many peoples told me about in Vancouver. Is that a gigantic tourist trap or what ?
Cops are everywhere in that area, i mean everywhere. So since I was not too impress by the touristy approach, I went up to Winthrop to grab my last meal in the local saloon. Now I will be back there. Washington pass and the cascades so many bcsportbikes.com riders visit all the time, is finally in my site. Me likey, but I am not so thrilled by the stretch leading to Burlington in the valley. I guess that is the price to pay.
The rest was pretty uneventful, even the canadian border guard was a laugh. Did not even show my PR card.
I am glad to be home. I had a blast and will do it again for sure. I met so many cool peoples that I just have to get a contact card with me next time. I have another bunch of cool stories to tell for years to come and some great memories to repay in my head over and over.
