After a bit of an issue on my bike and a fast ride down towards Fairbanks, we took a day off today in Denali National Park. It was a pretty gloomy day. Unless you have a special pass, no one can drive or ride on the unique road going inside the park. And one can understand why when you actually see the road.
We learned quickly that only 30% of the summer season visitors actually see Mt McKinley. And yes we were in the 70% of the ones who don’t. Anyway the big reason to go inside the park is the almost guaranteed opportunities to see some wildlife, and we were not disappointed. Wildlife was present right from the get go on the visitor centre car park.
A bit of sun and a bigger lens would have been nice today.
