Monterey and beyond
Fremont (CA) – Cotati (CA) – 512Km

After playing a phone prank to my ex-employers, I was on my way south again.
This time the destination was Monterey. I hit the slab and was there in about an hour. Even though I was already hungry, I could not resist the Laguna Seca call, when I saw the road-signs. I spent nearly an hour going through the circuit side roads, and eventually some guys took on the track. looked like a boundary bay kinda event. Sports-bike first and couple of GS were going around. I shot a few snaps at the corkscrew level.
Then it was my turn to see this Cannery row, I got flamed for on BCSportBike.com.
Okay cool, but I start to be a bit skeptical of all those ‘historic, must see’ places in the states. I guess it must be a different atmosphere during the Moto GP week.
Equally strange is Carmel by the sea, and I won’t extend on this, or the 17 mile drive, which is closed to Motorcycles.
However the ride to Big Sur, is amazing. Nice road, but made really interesting by the bridges. A bit of off-roading got me a different shot angle. I wish the weather had been better, but how well. It was starting to get late and seriously cold when I turned around to ride back all the way up to the Sonoma county. Slab all the way, and over the richmond bridge, I made it back in darkness, and pretty cold as I was stupid enough to have left my jacket inside liner at my friends house.

Laguna Seca turn one.

The infamous corkscrew.

Cannery row in Monterey.
