Cotati (CA) – Cotati (CA) – 325Km
Another late start day. Today I must make it to San Francisco. But instead of going straight down, I decide to go via the coast. So Point Reyes is my first destination, and the cold is back in force. This time the wind has picked up like crazy, and somehow, the fog is at sea. You can see it, but the view are pretty good. The little road to point reyes, is a blast, and keeping the bike straight is pretty difficult, if not impossible. The stair case down to the lighthouse is closed for safety. It is still a pretty site. The ride down Hwy1 to SF is event free, and beautifully rugged between Stinston beach and the bridge. After yet more pictures of the bridge due to the fact that the view is crystal clear all the way to east bay, I finally make is across. The objective is to reach Twins peaks to capture the city at sunset. Traffic is heavy, and I go am long way around. So long that when I arrive I am too late by about 5-10 minutes. Damn ! What an opportunity wasted. So I just wait for darkness, and the city to come alive with lights. After a few stops in town to get some building at night, I head home over the golden gate bridge and into a dark cold night.
