North Rim Grand Canyon (AZ) – Las Vegas (NV) – 587Km
This morning I met a rider on his way to a political career in Washington DC. It was pretty cool talking to David, and I was impress by how light he was traveling. His objective was 10 days for LA to DC and camping along the way. Well done, and by the way, one of the rare non Harley cruiser I have seen during this trip.
I checked out a couple of view point this morning and quickly left has I want to reach Zion National park tonight. By lunch time I made it into Utah in a little town call Kanab. A the local gas station I met a team I nicknamed the ‘Flagstaff Trio’. It just happen that theses guys were at the same campsite last night. After a quick chit chat, they noted that my rear tire was becoming rather square. Damn i have not much option out here. And after some directions and road recommendations I bid farewell and backtrack all the way to Las Vegas.
I arrived after sun down, and it is pretty magic to ride in like that. I finally sourced a hotel and Called it a day, too tired to even hit the town again.
