Just spent the last couple of days putting the first 1,000 Km on a new 2008 R1200 GS. This puppy is fully loaded with ABS Brakes, ASC (Automatic Stability Control), ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) and TPC(Tire Pressure Control). Chrome and computer package included.
The 2008 gets more horsepower. I found the engine to be smoother than my old 2004, and a nicer gearbox. This week-end brought back a lot of memories.
After picking-up the bike yesterday lunch I rode to Merritt for the night. Then I spent the first half of the ride bouncing off rain showers. Perfect weather up north until the Duffey Lake road. The weather was fine, but the road conditions were atrocious. Let’s hope that some of the money allocated to the 2010 games will go past Whistler.
No I have to figure out a way to afford an adventure while keeping my HP2.
Hey – just started reading your blog again (since you are updating it again). Great stories and pictures. But can’t you add a ‘previous’ ‘next’ selection on your pictures so I don’t have to shut each one before opening the next?!
Keep up the adventures – we are living vicariously 🙂
There are 2 options:
– Click on your keyboard left and right arrows.
– Mouse over one half of the picture, and click. You should also see a ‘Next’ or ‘Previous’ button appear when hovering.
Hey – this post is well over a month old. Have you not been on your bike this then?!
You’re posting again!
Good to see. Great shots!
