Yesterday was a brutal day. I did beat my personal best in one day ride by reaching Munich after 1167 km in 10H45. I consider this a big achievement as this was not done on the big North American spaces.
Anyway I came to Garmish to take part in the largest BMW bike meet in the world. We are talking 30,000 bikes over 3 days in a ski resort at the foot of the alps right above the Austrian border.
Excellent organization right at the ski lift start and a train station. The location allows for a dirt track to be build and some off road tuition to take place higher up the hill.
Everything BMW was there.
Sadly, by 1 pm a pretty violent thunderstorm cool down the event. Also this was the end of the Sunshine for me for a couple of days.
